For most companies, technology is required in order to do business, but it is not possible to justify the cost of a full-time system manager or support technician. WKDS can provide this resource on an as-required basis or with a support contract providing a range of support services which can be tailored to your needs. We can help you diagnose if a problem is hardware- or software-related. If it is software-related we can help you solve it. If it is hardware-related we can recommend the appropriate course of action.

The WKDS support service can be delivered in a number of different ways:

On-site
For the vast majority of the work we do, we will come to you. The majority of problems with Macs are due to the software. We will come to you and resolve these problems. There is no need to send the machine away for a couple of weeks, or to spend hours hanging onto the end of a phone to a help desk that ultimately tells you just to reinstall everything - the one thing you didn’t want to have to do.

In order to resolve problems which are urgent, or where you and your staff don’t have the time or technical knowledge, we will come to you. We will be on-site as soon as possible, often the same day.

Telephone Support
Some problems can be resolved over the telephone if they are relatively simple and if the user is capable of taking the appropriate remedial action.

Regular Visits
We can arrange to be on-site on a regular basis to deal with any problems or issues which are not production critical. Regular Visit contracts can be arranged for almost any combination of frequency and duration. For example, one day every month, one day every fortnight, two consecutive days each quarter, or every third Wednesday. You decide what level of support you require. These visits can be arranged for normal working hours, evenings or weekends.

Project
Where redesign or systems analysis is required to resolve an issue, WKDS can provide consultative support and assistance.

There are no advanced payments for support work; you pay for the support as it is required.
